Pico recently undertook some refurbishment work at the Food Express concession at the LG Arena, Birmingham. Pico was tasked with designing and installing a brand new rack frying and ventilation solution.

Design, Supply and Install a Catering and Bar package for the Stratford Riverside Project
Pico concentrated on delivering a robust kitchen that could easily cope with the restaurant, bar and conferencing trade.
Prime cooking equipment installed includes a Mareno range, Lainox combi ovens, Pitco fryers, Lincat chargrill and salamander, and a Moorwood Vulcan range for pan work. Pico also put in a large extraction canopy supported by an Ansul fire protection system.
The warewash area is equipped with Comenda’s AC2 rack machine, while a separate walk-in freezer and chiller gives the operator plenty of cold storage room. Stainless steel fabrication was done by E&R Moffat.
The bar areas, meanwhile, are fitted with Hobart Ecomax glasswashers, an IMC bar tender system, Maidaid ice machines and Husky bottle fridges. A Lincat hot water boiler and two Animo bean to cup coffee machines that Pico exclusively distributes in the UK were also used for the job.

Pico Catering Projects has signed off a prestigious kitchen and bar build that marks both its longest-running and largest catering scheme to date.
The Birmingham-based distributor first got involved with plans for the prestigious Stratford Riverside Project last February and handed over the catering facilities two weeks ago following a year-long design, supply and installation programme.
The value of the project exceeded £150,000, making it the largest that the company has delivered since it was formed.

Cadbury World, (Mondelēz Europe Services GmbH) / Amadeus Catering
To supply and install two new bespoke servery counters to tight deadlines.
Pico Catering projects were recommended to Cadbury World to take on the project of supplying and installing two bespoke servery counters in a very short time frame. The old EMH counters were continually tripping and had outlived there effectiveness. Pico called in E&R Moffat to manufacture the new counters taking into account the new service requirements and style of operation.
Working in conjunction with Cadbury World and the new contract caterers Amadeus, Pico delivered on time and on budget. The client was especially pleased with the new counters and the quick turnaround that Pico managed to perform on their behalf.

Pico Catering Projects Ltd were contacted by Northwood Garden Centre in Newcastle-Under-Lyme and tasked with creating a brand new contemporary look for their coffee shop and restaurant.
Pico project managed the specification, design and installation of the front of house, behind counter and restaurant areas. Using our industry experience, Pico designed a fresh looking dining area that maximises the available space, on time and on budget.
Overall this has been a fantastic project for Pico to work on, with excellent feedback from a very happy client.
Pico Catering Projects, working in conjunction with the local Sales executive Jim Pittard from Hobart were engaged by the CTC Kingshurst Academy to carry out a complete rejuvenation of their Warewashing area. This included a new Hobart rack machine, new tabling, hygienic wall coverings and non slip flooring. We also upgraded existing services including Drainage, Electrics and Plumbing pipework renewal.
In addition to the Warewashing project we also fitted a new Lainox Combination oven replacing and old Convection oven. We also added a touch of colour to their existing servery area by fitting coloured hygienic wall panels which have been a big hit with staff and pupils alike.
Paul and Wendy Weston of the Duke Of York, Lichfield, asked Pico Catering Projects Ltd to come up with a cost effective way of giving their kitchen as much needed make over.
The Duke Of York is the oldest pub in Lichfield at over 400 years old. This in itself provided a list of unique challenges that needed to be overcome – chiefly the lack of a single straight wall in the building and very limited services.
Pico provided a cost effective combination of Lincat and Ecomax appliances and the new extraction system was a self contained Fume Filtration system from Lincat, which requires no external ductwork.
Pico Projects provided a fantastic solution given the limited budget, we are very happy with the results and would recommend them to anyone.

Pico were fortunate to receive a project from another leading Care Home in Newark to design, specify, supply and install a commercial kitchen and laundry in the newly refurbished premises.
Part of the brief was to transition from the existing services while residents were still on site to the new facilities with the minimum of resident disruption.
For this Laundry Pico specified the Primus range of washers and driers alongside bespoke fabrication which complimented the homes style of Laundry operation.
For the Kitchen, Pico specified Lainox and LINCAT for the cooking appliances. Dawson Comenda for the ware washing, Genfrost for refrigeration and a range of complimentary bespoke fabrication to suit the style of food production that the care home provides to maintain a Healthy balanced food offering for their residents.
